Maple Bit, identified with maple-bit.com, appears in Canadian regulatory investor notices. The British Columbia Securities Commission published its caution on 20 January 2025. A separate alert issued by Saskatchewan’s Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority is dated 4 February 2025 in the Canadian Securities Administrators’ record.
Two notices, two provincial registration findings
The British Columbia notice says Maple Bit was not registered with the BCSC and urges extreme caution before handing over money. The Saskatchewan alert says the online entity was not registered with the FCAA to trade or sell securities or derivatives in Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan notice describes offers involving cryptocurrencies, stocks, foreign exchange, exchange-traded funds, commodities, indices and contracts for difference. That range matters: an offer’s label does not tell you whether the provider has permission to sell it where you live. Check the entity and the activity with the relevant regulator rather than relying on a platform’s branding.
Keep the domain match precise
Both records identify maple-bit.com. These findings concern the operation using that website. They should not be applied to unrelated businesses or digital assets simply because their names contain “Maple.” Neither notice establishes a completed wallet trace, a particular claimant’s loss or an entitlement to compensation.
Record which offer you received
A useful report states your province or country, when you were approached and what product was offered. Preserve the advertisement or message, the full website address, account statements and payment instructions. Keep payment receipts separate from an account dashboard: a displayed balance is different evidence from a confirmed transfer.
If someone contacted you after the original payment offering to recover it, keep that communication separately. Their knowledge of the platform name is not proof that they represent a regulator or can return your funds.
